Cloaked in jet black, he is our new "Cochin" cockerel . . . . . .

I love these birds . . . they are so very beautiful . . . . .

He is not very old, and he needs time to fill out,

but I can see he is going to be magnificent!

He arrived last Saturday, in the cardboard boxes . . .

along with 3 new girls . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The blue grey bird was the last one of our original birds . . . .

When they are all settled in . . . . . .

I am hoping for plenty of these . . . . . . . . .

I am very lucky, because Mr Busy Bee does the morning feeds . . . .

He feeds the boys . . . . . . . . .  . . . . . .

But today it was my job to feed them . . . . . . and the boys were waiting . .

Just as they do every morning . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

But today the light was sooooooh beautiful  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

and I had to go inside and get my camera to show you all . . . . . 

Whiskers our horse, always looks worried . . . . .

Maybe it's that there won't be  enough carrots today . . . . . . . . .

It's not every day you get to plan an orchard . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

We have planned it, in the newly fenced area for the pigs,

and so after much research, I found out which apples would

do well here in the north east of england . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
