In February of this year we celebrated 20 years of marriage together.

 So we decided to book a little treat . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Well it does you good to have a little treat . . . . . . . . . .  . . .

every now and again . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  . . . don't you think?

Not too often though . . . . . . . . . . as that would make you spoilt.

It was a celebration too . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

You can't let an important date go by and not celebrate it can you?

So we had four, very wet, rainy days in our beloved Venice . . . .

It was soooooooooh wet!!

One of the few places to escape the rain was to go here . . . . . . . . . . . . .

and stay for a while . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Well it would be rude not to . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  . . . . .  . ?

And why not have a little treat while your there?

Well . . . . . maybe the tray full was a bit spoilt . . . . . . . ?

All too soon it was our last night in Venice . . . . . . .

And we celebrated with a little treat . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Well you can't go to Italy and not have a pizza?

Next day we were whisked back to the airport . . . . . . . . . . . .

In our water taxi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

By a very cool italian driver . . . . . . . . . . . .

Pickering weekend at war . . . . . . 2011

We had such a wonderful time last year . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

We sneaked off again to the Pickering weekend at war,

again this year . . . . . . . . . and it didn't disappoint !!

We watched the parade . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . .  . . .

and watched the people . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

These 3 little girls caught my eye . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The man below was not in 1940's costume . . . . . . . . . . . .

but he made me smile . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  . . . . .

the Home gaurd had taken over . . . . . . . . . . . .

They were all in full reenactment flow, as we arrived . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
